Universities in Germany are increasing the range of the courses they teach in English. This means that career opportunities and prospects for international travel for academics are also on the rise. This highly practical workshop will prepare participants for the challenge of teaching in English to students from both Germany and across the globe.
During the two days, you will learn to navigate the intercultural aspects of teaching and learning, including the use of appropriate and inclusive language. You will also gain insight into students’ diverse perspectives and discover effective strategies to generate student engagement. The workshop is highly interactive and will provide you with many opportunities to put theory into practice. The two days will culminate in a teaching practice session, after which you will get in depth feedback from your instructor and colleagues.
