Students' motivation generates, directs and sustains their learning: This workshop aims at providing an insight into the importance of motivation for learning in the context of higher education. Whilst also dealing with some theories of motivation, we will focus on your own experiences with student motivation in your teaching. We will discuss your challenges, have a look at some strategies for enhancing motivation and you will develop first ideas of how to boost student motivation in your own courses.
Since this is an interactive workshop with a focus on learning in community it is essential that you participate actively during the whole workshop time.
